franchise and transition players: All tender offers allow
teams a right of first refusal. Low tenders are worth
$927,000 and sets compensation at the round in which the
player was drafted. Second-round tenders are worth $1.417
million and sets compensation as a second-round draft pick.
First-round tenders are worth $2.017 million and sets
compensation as a first-round draft pick. First- and
third-round tenders are worth $2.562 million and sets
compensation as first- and third-round draft picks.
Feb. 11, first day teams may cut players (say good-bye to
Kalimba Edwards everyone)
Feb. 20-26, scouting combine in Indianapolis (oh,
the Lions should draft ________ )
Feb. 28, 2007 player contracts officially expire and
teams must have reported to the league tenders for
restricted free agents and exclusive-rights free agents
(say good-bye to Bailey and Lehman everyone)

spreadsheet format rather then html... if you're browser can not
read it please let me know so that I can do something different if
necessary.

This next link is to an excel spreadsheet that
contains the history of the Lions Salary Cap. I started it
in cap year 2000 and have it up to the year 2006 (so far)... with more
information and more accuracy as you go, the salaries and bonuses
are as accurate as one can possibly make them, I'd say about 99.5%
accurate. The Dead Cap Hits may be a bit further off.
I hope to be able to improve on this as each future year goes
